We arrived late and upgraded our room with no fuss, lovely waitress for dinner and the room and grounds were pleasant and peaceful. Recommended.
Slight maintenance issues with peeling paint on ceilings but nothing else

Turf (Peat) fires. Calm relaxing. Excellent hot whiskey. Staff who managed to combine charming good humour with courteous efficiency. Delightful mutually helpful inter-staff relations set a nice background tone. Excellent dinner...very good quality steak. Marvelous home-made brown bread (containing walnuts !). Loved the architecture, the history and the beautiful gardens with their fascinating Mulberry trees.. Looking forward to returning.
Could not turn off the heating radiators in bedroom.

Staff were friendly and pleasant. I had a number o issues about maintenance that needed to be addressed to improve our stay and most were still unattended to when we left. It seemed there was no one that could take control and do something about it. There was no Internet access either. We were looking forward to a gourmet evening too but having had breakfast in the dining room we felt the association with breakfast too strong to enjoy an expensive meal in the same room. A pity but I believe the food is worth it. No one warned us that water has to be run for 10 minutes to get hot so we had cold showers first up! All In all a disappointing stay and we felt B&Bs gave us more value for money.

Beautiful old mansion converted to hotel. We had a very nice large room with a view of the Rock of Cashel. Louge areas were comfortable and looked out on the tree filled gardens. The walk to the Rock of Cashel is just out the back gate of the hotel and only takes about 10 minutes.
The inside of the hotel is very well kept. The outside of the building in places could use a bit of paint and putty.

We enjoyed our stay. The history of the hotel was interesting and the building itself was beautiful - short walk to the Rock of Cashel and the quaint town.
One night was enough to see the Rock of Cashel and the small town. I would not recommend staying longer.

Denis and Margaret were exceptionally good and friendly and made up for the rest of the staff.
The rooms while very nice and spacious were somewhat cold and didn't heat up over the weekend.

It is a wonderful location with friendly staff and most beautiful area. Coupled with a very friendly town it was a great experience. We stayed the one night but if we were to return to casual we would go there.
We booked online with Booked.net and when we got there the staff seemed like they weren't expecting us. We were brought to our room and then given another room, a larger one which was fine but this had mixed us up with another couple who were staying so we had gotten a call from reception about dinner reservations that we didn't make. On check out time the bill was almost double what Booked.net had quoted us but it was sorted. A small mix up but if we stayed longer and used some of the hotels facilities like resturaunt we may not have picked up on the price. It doesnt put me off going back there as it was a genuine mistake but would be wary of that.

Staff, interior, breakfast, location, atmosphere, cleanliness, comfort, everything is great! The only request to the staff include heating in the rooms in advance, which will house people.
